Alan Geer

Guitar / Bandleader

Highly skilled and theoretically grounded, Alan brings precision and nuance to every song. His solid understanding of music theory is the backbone behind the band’s ability to tackle songs other bands won’t touch.

Jesse Samson

Keys / Music Director

Jesse is a passionate musician based in Long Beach, CA, with a lifelong dedication to music that began at the age of five. He attended the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he developed his skills in piano performance, music theory, and ear training. Continuing his education at Berklee College of Music, Jesse refined his craft and deepened his understanding of the art form. Gifted with perfect pitch and a strong creative spirit, he currently seeks opportunities to perform, record, or teach, while also serving as the Music Director for the 17th Street Band, where he leads and arranges music for live performances. Beyond his musical achievements, Jesse enjoys aviation, golf, and fantasy football. Friends and family know him for his kindness, generosity, and strong work ethic, all of which shine through in every project he takes on.

Mike “Sev” Sevigny

Drums

Laid-back, locked-in, and always in the pocket—that’s Mike “Sev” Sevigny behind the kit. With nearly two decades of rhythmic mastery, Sev is the heartbeat of the 17th Street Band, delivering groove-heavy, soul-tight beats that keep crowds moving all night long. Whether he’s laying down funk-infused fills or locking in a rock-solid backbeat, Sev brings precision, passion, and unmistakable feel to every stage he steps on. Offstage, Mike’s hustle doesn’t stop. When he’s not lighting up the drums, he’s closing real estate deals, soaking in the sun at the beach, or chasing adventure outdoors. Music may be his soul, but rhythm runs through every part of his life.

Nico Banks

Bass

Hailing from Chile, Nico Banks brings over two decades of bass mastery to the stage, blending the pulse of classic rock with the intricacy of prog influences. His musical journey began in high school garage jams and college gigs, where he forged both lifelong friendships and the foundation of his signature groove.

In 2009, Nico’s career hit a major milestone when he joined the pop-rock sensation Mannu, performing in front of 20,000 fans at Quito’s iconic Exa Festival. The band’s full-length release under EMI Ecuador solidified his place in the Latin American rock scene. After relocating to the U.S. in 2015, Nico explored a variety of projects, searching for a new creative home. That search ended in 2025 when fate—and a musician’s social app—connected him with guitarist Alan Geer. One audition later, Nico joined the powerhouse lineup of the 17th Street Band—and the rest, as they say, is history.

Sam

Vocals

Fronting 17th Street with the energy and range every great set demands, Sam brings charisma and a voice built for the classics. New to the lineup and already at home on the stage.
