TOM KUSIAN

Tom Kusian was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  Studying the piano was his early introduction to music but Tom switched to the guitar after a neighborhood friend came home from a vacation and showed him a few chords.  It was love at first lick.   

Tom volunteered at the inimitable Chicago Store and it was truly a sonic youth's dream, crammed with guitars, accordions, drum kits and pedal steel guitars. Touring musicians, including Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney, Chuck Berry and Keith Richards, would stop by the store to hunt for hidden treasures.

Not surprisingly, Tom has never lost his love for music.  His musical influences are The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, Alvin Lee and other blues based players.

Shortly after meeting Harvey Brooks in 2004, the two started writing and recording songs together, forming Kubro Productions and The 17th Street Band.
